And so it begins...
Kam: My first reservation around kicking off our quest with this title was over whether we should be filing this under 'A', 'G'or even a 'D'. As (surprisingly) this is the only 'Die Hard' DVD we own, I ruled out filing it under 'D' as this would only work if we owned other titles in the series which would all go under the grouping of 'Die Hard' then filed in release order.
I decided against filing it under 'G' for 'Good' because 'Good Day To Die Hard, A' just sounds silly (and a bit Canadian).
I realise all of the above is incredibly boring but you know what, thinking about where to file this film is far more interesting then watching it.
In a nutshell: Not so much Dying Hard but Dying Slowly and Painfully
Hannah: This film was shit. It didn't even fulfill it's title... Unless it's a good day for loads of random Russians to die. Catchy.
Not the best of starts for this mission...

In an effort to avoid the inevitable argument over which film we should watch together, we have decided to remove the choice by working through our DVD collection in alphabetical order.
Subscribing to the big 3 on demand movie services has resulted in many an evening spent trawling through all the titles and not being able to agree on one. This commonly ends with Hannah picking up her book and Kam playing Halo instead.
The solution to this was staring us in the face the whole time. Why pay a monthly subscription when we have already paid good money to fill a DVD rack with a healthy and varied collection of over 250 films crossing all genres and era's?
With an empowering cancellation of our subscriptions (apart from one), the Movie Luddites was born. We refuse new technologies and embrace the traditional ways, the good old DVD.
We've decided to make this blog about our efforts, not that we assume you care and not that we even care if you care. This blog will serve as our record of what we have watched, when we watched it and what we thought of it at the time. If you find some entertainment from it then more power to you comrades.
